Personal Care Services Non-Emergency Transportation Respite Services CAP Aide Services Elder Care Consulting Affordability Reasons to Choose Handi-Care The Team to Trust Service Area	Wheelchair Accessible Transportation Non-Emergency Transportation Handi-Care provides transportation to medical appointments with wheelchair lift equipped vans and other vehicles. We currently provide medical transportation within Burke County at no charge to Burke County residents age 60 and older. Transportation must be from private residences to medical appointments. The program does not currently fund transportation from nursing homes or rest homes. Handi-Care also provides Medicaid transportation to Burke County residents to medical appointments. Medical appointments can be local and long distance. Prior approval is required for Medicaid transportation.
