Handi-Care provides transportation for medical appointments and other personal needs. Our vehicles include wheelchair lift equipped vans. To varying degrees, these services can be available throughout our service area. Call for more details.
Special Services in Burke County
We currently provide medical transportation within Burke County at no charge to Burke County residents age 60 and older. Transportation must be from private residences to medical appointments. The program does not currently fund transportation from nursing homes or rest homes.
Handi-Care also provides Medicaid transportation to Burke County residents to medical appointments. Medical appointments can be local and long distance. Prior approval is required for Medicaid transportation. |
